Since 1946, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has supported researchers by giving them the support they need to keep great research going or to take their ideas from dream to reality. The ACS is proud to have helped more than 24,000 investigators make important advances in prevention, early detection, treatment, and care for those with cancer.
On a local level, the ACS-supported Hope Lodge Lubbock offers cancer patients and caregivers (ages 12+) a welcoming, home-like environment while receiving treatment in the Hub City. Hope Lodge provides a free place to stay, easing the financial strain of cancer care, fostering a sense of community among those undergoing treatment, and offering the comforts of home. Since opening in 2010, Hope Lodge Lubbock has saved families more than $8 million by offering 71,000 free nights of lodging.
Your support will provide much needed resources in the fight against cancer to neighbors in our own community and will help reduce the disparities and increase equity in the cancer space across the continuum.
